Marking its 25th anniversary, Pantone has unveiled Peach Fuzz as the Color of the Year for 2024.
In collaboration with Ultrafabrics, a specialist in fabrics, Pantone aims to showcase the transformative power of colour in shaping environments and fostering personal connections with this milestone shade. Designated as Pantone 13-0123, Peach Fuzz is described as a warm, tactile peach tone nestled between pink and orange. The meticulous selection process involved collaboration with the Pantone Color Institute, drawing inspiration from various industries like fashion, art, and home furnishings.
Ultrafabrics, also celebrating its 25th anniversary, specializes in crafting high-tech materials for indoor and outdoor use in diverse applications such as furniture, cars, and aircraft. For the Pantone Color of the Year 2024, they partnered with the WeWantMore Studio in Belgium to develop visual concepts that illustrate the design possibilities offered by the new hue.
Elley Cheng, the Vice President and General Manager of Pantone, expressed excitement about the collaborative efforts with Ultrafabrics, emphasising how the Pantone Color of the Year 2024 promotes community and collaboration, especially in the realm of interior design and beyond.
